Dangerous Content

Don't promote violence, incite hatred, harass, bully, or engage in any other behavior that may place people at risk of serious physical harm or death. What to avoid:

• Advocating or glorifying serious physical harm towards an individual or group (including encouraging suicide or self-harm).
• Inciting or threatening serious physical harm or acts of violence against specific targets or groups.
• Promoting or supporting terrorism or violent extremist activity, including praising extremist groups, coordinating or promoting violent acts, or providing instructional materials to commit violent acts.
• Targeted harassment or abuse of individuals, including repeated sexual advances, shaming or intimidating minors, sharing non-consensual intimate content, or exposing someone's private financial or identity information.
• Content that incites hatred or violence against protected groups (race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, veteran status, etc.).
• Promoting or glorifying hate groups or their symbols.
• Promotion of dangerous false medical claims that pose a direct threat to public health (for example, encouraging consumption of harmful substances or claiming approved vaccines are designed to cause death).
• Illicit commerce such as selling illegal firearms, illegal drugs, or endangered species and related products.
• Any content that promotes, solicits, or facilitates child sexual abuse or exploitation.

Deceptive Content

Don't use malicious practices to deceive others. What to avoid:

• Impersonating others to deceive — replicating the same name, image, or description as another creator, person, brand, or organization in a misleading manner.
• Manipulated or synthetic media presented as authentic when it poses risk of harm (e.g., altered audio/video presented as real).
• Content that attempts to manipulate or interfere with civic processes, including misleading procedures that discourage participation or intimidate voters.
• Phishing, malware distribution instructions, and schemes intended to deceive people into giving up sensitive information or money (including investment scams and pyramid schemes).

Sensitive Content

We don't allow excessively violent, graphic, or sexually explicit content. What to avoid:

• Graphic depictions of violence, gore, or other shocking imagery intended to shock or disgust.
• Sexually explicit material including pornography, or depictions intended primarily for sexual gratification, and sexual content involving minors.

Illegal Content

Content that violates law or infringes rights is not allowed. What to avoid:

• Content that breaches sanctions, export regulations, or other applicable laws.
• Content that infringes intellectual property rights or is shared without permission.

How we enforce these rules

Rules are enforced consistently and with human review when needed. Breaking the rules may result in removal of content, account suspension, or termination depending on the severity and context.
